It’s already week 7 in the English Premier League and we have a few great fixtures on the schedule this weekend. With six weeks under our belts it’s clear that some teams are in good form while others have been disappointing. For those of you that want to follow our Premiere League picks, you should open an account with Bodog Sportsbook, which is where we got the odds below. They show the odds in the American format rather then the European format, so if you’re use to betting on American sports you’ll have no learning curve looking at the soccer odds presented by Bodog.

Sunderland +512 vs. Manchester United –150 Draw +290

Manchester United has accumulated 12 points in 6 weeks this season and is currently in 2nd place behind Chelsea (15 Points), but they’ll have a chance to earn 3 points this weekend against Sunderland. Sunderland is in 12th place with 7 points after 6 weeks, but they’ve had some promising performances against the good teams in the league. Manchester United has won their 3 home games this season and I can’t see them losing or tying against Sunderland this week. Sunderland has already tied Arsenal and Liverpool this season, so Manchester United can’t take them lightly or else the match might end in a draw.

Chelsea –128 vs. Arsenal +404 Draw +282

I really think that Arsenal can end this game in a draw on their home pitch against Chelsea. Both teams have been doing great in the early part of the season and I can’t see Chelsea getting the victory on the road. Arsenal is coming off of a loss on the road against Manchester City and Arsenal is coming off of a home loss to West Bromwich. Arsenal played poorly at home last week and I don’t think they’ll come out flat again this week. I’d going to take the draw in this fixture, as I think it ends 1-1. Chelsea will really want the 3 points on the road, but I don’t think they’ll be upset with a draw either.

Birmingham City +196 vs. Everton +168 Draw +224

Birmingham is 14th in the league right now with 7 points while Everton is in the bottom of the standings with only 3 points this season on 3 draws. 2 of those draws came at home including last week against Fulham. I’m not sure whether this game is going to end in a draw or if Everton will finally get their first win of the season, but I’m going to go with my gut feeling and take Everton to win the match. Everton needs a victory soon and Birmingham is definitely a beatable team on the road. Everton also tied Manchester United 3-3 on the road in September, so even though they’re winless, they’ve been playing pretty good.

My Picks

  • Manchester United –150 over Sunderland
  • Chelsea/Arsenal Draw +282
  • Everton +168 over Birmingham City
