Celtics vs Heat and Lakers vs Nuggets
If you watched NBA basketball last year you may remember that TNT played a doubleheader once every week and it’s back again this year. Every Thursday of the season there will be a doubleheader on TNT and this upcoming Thursday has two great games that are going to be awesome. If you want to bet on the TNT basketball games this season I’d recommend using Bodog since they offer live NBA basketball betting on the games every week along with plenty of other ways to bet on games.
Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat
The Boston Celtics (6-2) will be playing against the Miami Heat (5-3) in the 1st game of the TNT doubleheader this Thursday. In the first Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat matchup in the 2010 – 2011 season opener, the Celtics won the game 88-80. The Celtics were up by 15 points heading into the half thanks to horrible shooting from the Heat. Miami picked it up in the 2nd half, but couldn’t overcome the deficit.
Both teams are in excellent form early in the 2010 – 2011 season, sitting near the top of the Eastern Conference. However, the Heat have yet to become the dominant team everyone expects them to. Both teams are expected to battle for the conference title this season, but I think the Celtics will beat Miami once again on Thursday night.
Miami still doesn’t seem to have it all figured out, playing 3 on 5 in every game. The Celtics are a complete team that knows how to take advantage of your weaknesses. The Heat still have holes to fill, and until they do, they’ll get beat by more well-rounded teams in the league.
The point spread hasn’t been released for the game yet, but I’ll be taking the Celtics at +3 or more if possible.

L.A. Lakers vs Denver Nuggets
The Los Angeles Lakers have started the 2010 – 2011 season on fire and has an 8-0 record right now while the Denver Nuggets are 4-4. This is a pretty big game for the Nuggets early in the season, as they don’t want to fall lower in the Western Conference standings. L.A. has been having no problem putting points on the board. Gasol is averaging 24.8 PPG, Bryant is averaging 24.7 PPG and Odom is averaging 15 PPG already this season.
Denver hasn’t been scoring as much as the Lakers, but they’ve still been putting up a lot of points the past couple games. Carmelo Anthony is leading the team with an average of 24.7 PPG, but the rest of the team has also been contributing. Harrington, Billups, Affalo and Nenê are all averaging over 10 PPG so far this season. I think it’ll be a close game and I’m going to be betting on the Nuggets this week if I can get +4 or more. I don’t know if Denver will win the game, but I think they’ll keep it close on their home court.
Take the Celtics + the points and Nuggets + the points on these two games, and lets take down a couple of wins.
