Ravens vs. Titans Betting Line
Away: Baltimore Ravens
Home: Tennessee Titans
When: Week 2. September 18, 2011. 1:00 pm ET. Televised on CBS.
Heading into this week 2 game, the Baltimore Ravens are 1-0, having beaten the Steelers 35-7 in week 1. They played a dominating game, one that spells serious trouble for the Titans in week 2.
The Tennessee Titans were on the road in week 1, and lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 16-14. The Titans couldn’t get their running game going in week 1, but Chris Johnson is excellent against 3-4 defenses. Even if he can hurt the tough Ravens offense, will it be enough to beat them? We doubt it.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans Point Spread
Although the Baltimore Ravens crushed Pittsburgh in week 1, they don’t usually do that. They tend to grind out lower scoring games, and this is what we expect in this game against the Tennessee Titans. This makes it harder to cover a point spread of 6 points, especially on the road. So, we’re taking the Titans to lose outright, but cover the spread of +6 (-105) at the Bodog Sportsbook.
If you prefer the Ravens to cover the point spread, the best odds on them are -6 (Even) at BetOnline.
Titans vs. Ravens Money Line
The best Ravens money line right now is -260 at Bodog. For the Titans, the best money line is +235 at BetOnline.
I like the Baltimore Ravens to win this game outright, but I don’t see value at -260. The Ravens often win close games, without leaving themselves enough margin of error for me to take this bet. Although I expect the Ravens to win a close game, I’m not hating +235 on the Titans. I don’t think I’ll take this bet, but I wouldn’t argue with someone who thinks there’s value here. I’m too on-the-fence to make this bet early in the season, so I’ll stay away from the money line in this game.
Ravens vs. Titans Total (Over/Under) Betting Odds
The Tennessee Titans might kick some FG’s, but I doubt they get more than 1 TD in the game. Baltimore should score a bit, but I don’t think they’ll score enough points on the road against a team that they could be looking past.
The current total is 38 (-110) at BetOnline and Bodog. I’m expecting a game score in the range of 17-13 to 21-17. This is 30 to 38, giving us all winning unders and one potential push. So, I’ll bet the under, and hope the Titans defense steps up against Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense.
Bet on Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans
I’m going to bet on the Titans to cover the point spread, at +6 (-105) at Bodog, and the under of 38 (-110) as well. I expect a low scoring game where the Ravens win outright by 3-5 points.
