After a 3-1 start to the 2011 – 2012 NFL season, the Washington Redskins haven’t won since. They’ve lost 5 games in a row, and face a Dallas Cowboys team that is coming off a huge win against the Bills in week 10. Tony Romo had a huge game, completing 23 of 26 for 270 yards and 3 TD’s.

The Redskins lost to the pitiful Miami Dolphins, and look to be in trouble for this week 11 matchup against the ‘Boys.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins Analysis & Prediction

The Dallas Cowboys are 1-4 on the road this season, but the Redskins offense is terrible. They’re scoring just 15.1 points per game, and have serious problems at the quarterback position. To add to their offensives woes, WR Santana Moss will not be playing on Sunday.

The Cowboys need to win this game to keep up with the NY Giants in the NFC East, who host the Philadelphia Eagles in week 11. A Cowboys loss and Giants win would put them 2 games behind in the East, and seriously hurt their chances at the division title.

Don’t expect that to happen though, because the Cowboys are a much better team than the Redskins. At the time of this writing, the Cowboys are favored by 9 points at BetOnline, and 8 at Bodog. With the Redskins troubled offense, the Cowboys should easily win this game, I expect them to cover the Bodog spread.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins Point Spread

At the time of this writing, the best point spread for the Cowboys is at Bodog, at -8 (-105). If you don’t mind giving up an extra point, you can get them at -9 (+115) at BetOnline. I don’t like giving up that extra point, so I took the Cowboys -8 (-105) at Bodog.

For the Washington Redskins, bettors can have them at +9 (-135) at BetOnline, or +8 (-115) at Bodog. It’s very possible the Redskins could get blown out in this game, but if I was forced to take them, I’d take the extra point at -135 at BetOnline instead of +8 (-115) at Bodog.

Cowboys vs. Redskins Money Line

As much as I like the Cowboys in this game, I don’t like -355 on the money line. The Redskins are listed at +295 at BetOnline, which is actually some tempting value. Do the Redskins with this game one out of four times? Right now, probably not…but it’s close. I wouldn’t argue with anyone taking the Redskins money line on this game, but I’ll be staying away from it.

Cowboys vs. Redskins Total (Over/Under) Betting Odds

The Cowboys vs. Chargers over/under is 41.5 at BetOnline and Bodog, but we get them at different prices. The best over odds are at BetOnline, at 41.5 (-110). For the under, the best odds are at Bodog, at 41.5 (-105).

I see this game going in the range of 24-13 up to 27-14. Both teams have solid defenses, so this prediction really comes down to the effectiveness of the Cowboys offense. Some times they show up, some times they don’t. However, with the lack of offense from the Redskins, I think we have a better shot at the under in this one.

I’m going to bet the under, at 41.5 (-105) at Bodog.

Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys Point Spread

At the BetOnline Sportsbook, the current Redskins vs. Cowboys point spread is +3 (+105) on the Redskins, and -3 (-125) for the Cowboys. At the time of this writing, Bodog doesn’t have their lines posted. The chart above will be updated once they open their lines.

This is the first game on the road for the Washington Redskins in 2011, and the first home game for the Dallas Cowboys. I’m expecting a close game in this one, with the Cowboys covering the 3 point spread. I’d rather be getting something in the range of -115, but I’ll take it since I was expecting a spread of -3.5 on the Cowboys by now.

Redskins vs. Cowboys Over/Under Betting Odds

I’m expecting a game score in the range of 21-17 to 27-21, for 38-48 total points. The latest over/under is 45.5 at BetOnline, but not yet released at Bodog.

The Redskins have given up 35 total points so far this year, 14 to the NY Giants, and 21 to the Cardinals – both at home. The Cowboys have given up 51 points, 27 to the Jets and 24 to the 49ers – both on the road. The Cowboys will be excited for their first home game in 2011, but I expect the Redskins defense to keep them under 27. I also expect the Cowboys defense to step it up, keeping the Redskins under 21. Being their first home game, and a nationally televised Monday Night Football game, I’m looking for the Cowboys to come out with a higher level of intensity.

Scores of 21-17, 21-20, 24-17, 24-20, 24-21, 27-17 all take the under. Scores of 24-23, 27-20, 27-21, 27-24 all win the over. It looks like a slight edge for the under, so I’ll be taking the under at 45.5 (-110) at BetOnline.

Redskins vs. Cowboys Money Line

The Redskins money line is +145 at BetOnline, and -165 on the Cowboys. I really expect this Cowboys to win this outright, even if it’s close. Taking -125 and giving up 3 points on the Cowboys, -165 with no points looks good to me. I’ll be taking this bet, hoping the Cowboys cover the spread and giving me both wins.

Fwiw, BetOnline is one of our favorite sports betting sites. Bodog is great as well, but their NFL lines go up much later than BetOnline.

I’m going to bet on the Cowboys on the point spread at -3 (-125), and also -165 on the money line. If they don’t cover the spread, but win outright, I’ll be close to a push. If the Cowboys cover the spread, I’m going to have a good night.
