The most common way to bet on UFC fights is on the money line. These are straight-up bets on who will win the fight. With that said, a lot of UFC handicappers like to bet props and parlays as well. Parlays offer handicappers the chance to turn a small wager into a large profit. For more information, see our how to bet on UFC page.

Money Line Betting
Money line bets are the most common type of wager offered at online betting websites. However, many sportsbooks also offer a wide variety of UFC prop bets.
Negative (-) money lines indicate the favored fighter. Positive (+) money lines indicate the underdog. Money lines are based on the $100 figure, but $100 bets are not required. This figure is only used for simplicity in calculating the math.
Negative Money Line
The number in a negative money line represents the amount that would need to be wagered in order to win $100 in profit. For example, on a fighter with a -160 money line, a bet of $160 would be required in order to win $100 in profit, for a $260 total return.
Positive Money Line
The number in a positive money line represents the amount that would be won from a $100 wager. For example, on a fighter with a +220 money line, a bet of $100 would result in a $220 profit, for a total return of $320.
